Its just what I expected it works great for lite snowfalls or if the snow is heavy and quite wet you need to go out more often to keep up with the snow or sometimes I just push it as far as I can down the driveway and just pile it up and then come along with the snowblower and throw it out in the yard. It cuts way down on the wear and tear on the snowblower plus its faster and it saves on fuel. Its basic design is to push snow not carry it although it does have a little lip sticking out so you can carry and through a little snow some of the snow pushers are of a straight design only to push snow.

This is 4-feet of everything I had hoped for. I have a long driveway that’s downhill all the way to the garage. I have a guy who comes to plow whenever we get more than a few inches of snow. (I live in the North woods of Minnesota, so we get plenty of snow.) But if it’s just a few inches, it’s real easy to walk to the top and push a shovel to the bottom. I used to do it with a 2-foot wide shovel. Now I BLAST IT with my 4-footer. Three quick trips down the hill, and I’ve cleared my whole driveway. It is an incredible tool. Really solid, heavy enough to sit firm on the ground, but not so heavy that you have to be a gorilla to carry it. I highly recommend it for downhill use, but it’s easy enough to push on level ground. I did the pad of my 3-car garage plus a turnaround space in about 5 minutes or less. Zip, zip, zip. Like other reviewers have said, it’s not for deep snow or for lifting and tossing. By the way, I’m 68. All you young studs should be using one of these. 2019 ADDITION: It still works great. Now I’m 73 and had back surgery 4 months ago, but I’m still clearing my long downhill driveway quickly and easily. My driveway is very rough, so my shovel is showing a bit of wear on the blade, but it will take several decades before the wear affects my shoveling. The bad did warp the first summer. But I just elevated the ends and put a couple paint cans in the middle, and curved it right back into shape.

I just used this shovel and I can say it worked better than expected. Also, I had fun using it. I ordered this shovel for my office. We have a small 3 car parking lot that cannot be professionally plowed because of how it is situated behind our building. I cleared the parking lot in record time and then did the front of the building because it was fun. I just ordered a second shovel for home. Buy it, it works.

I have both a 2 foot and 3 foot metal snow pusher. I bought them primarily for clearing/cleaning the frozen pond for ice skating. This 4 footer (heavy poly/plastic blade) is a great addition to my snow clearing arsenal. CAUTION: don’t think of this as a shovel…it is a snow pusher. For light, fluffy snow or heavier snow of a shallow depth, it does a great job of clearing snow from a flat surface. If there is variability of surface height or condition, the results won’t be as good (length of blade will ride up on high spots, leaving snow in the low spots).
All told, I really love this product – it works great for me. The bracket connecting the handle to the pusher blade arrived with a small crack…the manufacturer was easy to deal with and immediately shipped a replacement bracket – high quality, made in USA, great customer service.

Love the width of the blade. Good materials. Seem very solid. Shovel head is good material that will last but has good shoveling properties. It takes me about 70% less time to shovel.
If you are shoveling wet, heavy snow, then you will likely can’t use it. This is my primary shovel but I plan to keep a second shovel for the really heavy snow.
Update: after 7 years as my primary shovel, definitely some wear but I am not replacing it for at least a few years. Someone mentioned you can’t cast the snow with it I do.

Bought this hoping it would help me clear my 60′ x 22′ drive-way faster. Does definitely does! It is perfect for the 1-3″ fluffy snow storms that aren’t quite enough for the snow blower. The blade has enough of a curve to it that allows you to shovel it once you slide the snow to the pile. The blade is plastic which makes it perfect for wood decks (no scraping off the paint).
The only thing I could see as an improvement would be to make the bracket that attaches the blade to the shaft out of aluminum. I know the cost would increase but at times I felt like it could break because of the amount of snow I was pushing. Overall very happy with this item. It use to take me 20+ minutes to clear my drive-way with a standard shovel; now I can do it in 5 minutes.
UPDATE 1-10-17: Still loving this shovel. I didn’t even have to get the snow blower out last year (and not this year as of yet). Holding up very. I’ll probably order a 30″ one to do deck steps, etc.
Just a short rebuttal to the reviewer how posted about the blade warping. I’d put good money on it that the owner did not store the shovel on a flat surface, which caused it to warp. Sure it will… it’s plastic. I did this once and fixed it by storing it on a flat surface with a couple weights on top. Straight as an arrow.. good as new.

Love this thing. I use the snowblower much less often now. Even with 4-5 inches of snow on the driveway, I will push it all to the side very quickly and then do one or two passes with the snow blower. On days when it snows an inch or two I can do my 100ft driveway in about ten minutes! I push everything to the ends or sides and use a shovel to clear those small piles. Great purchase – I wish I had found this years ago.

Very good shovel to cover more territory faster “but”, only if the snow is light and less than 1 1/2 deep. If deeper, or heavier, the weight of the snow along the 4 foot blade gets too heavy to push for very much of a distance. In addition, it’s too heavy to use as a snow “lifting” shovel. It’s only for use as a pusher.
Larry (verified owner) –
You can move a lot of snow quick with this shovel and overall it works good. I think being a curve blade it works better than a flat blade. The only way they can improve on this shovel if they had braces from the handle to the ends of the blade to make it more stable; but pretty good the way it is because the blade is thick.

Wide swath made clearing the driveway a breeze. I was concerned the shovel would have problem with uneven control joints, but I was pleasantly surprised as it negotiated the height differentials with no issues. The instructions were easy to follow and it came with an additional washer to reduce strain on the triangular stiffener.
The curve of the blade allows the snow to curl back and prevents snow from flowing over the top/back of the blade. The sides still allow snow to fall off the edges, but I’m considering adding ‘wings’ to the sides so the snow on the edges curls back similarly to the behavior of the top.

I have an entire facility to shovel and on the heavy days where I had to keep the walkways clear for patrons this shovel worked great! One pass and I had 4 foot path ways for people to walk in (which would normally take me about 4 passes with a standard shovel). This isn’t for deep snows that are over about 2 inches because it doesn’t have any pick up ability’s.
frankenmuth (verified owner) –
It’s a giant friggin snow shovel of doom! Boooyah! You’ll clear the snow in seconds flat and free up enough time to do other manly super hero shizzle. Well made and works great. Besure to read the instructions to avoid mistakes.
Edit: four years have passed and I still love this thing!

This is an awesome shovel – we have such a wide driveway that it’s almost humanly impossible to shovel. We normally have a plow guy come and plow us out when we have between 2-3 inches and above. But for the little snowstorms of 1-3 inches this is great. Sort of like have 3-4 shovels all together to push the snow away from a big area. Sure saves a lot time. Love it!
rjg426 (verified owner) –
Seems a little overpriced, but works well for me. It’s obviously not going to work well with more than a few inches of snow because it will build up and become too much to push, depending on the distance also. I’ve used it to clear light snow from my blacktop when there was not enough for plowing. It has prevented those few inches from packing down and becoming icy.
Josh (verified owner) –
Makes quick work of my drive way with lift snow fall. The bottom edge isn’t perfectly straight but only loose a couple inches of coverage. Worth the money.
jawhite (verified owner) –
It’s no fun to get the snow blower out for a light skiff of snow on the driveway, which is why my husband decided to order this snow shovel. It makes short work of a light dusting snow on the driveway since it’s so wide! He’s happy that now he can clear the driveway quickly and with very little effort, and he can save his snowblower for the real snowstorms!!!

I really like this pusher shovel and have had ample opportunity to use it over the last several weeks. My experience is that it is best used on no more that 3-4 inches of unfrozen snow. More than that and the shovel is difficult for me to push. Please note that this width shovel works perfectly on my driveway but is too wide for my particular sidewalk. Snowcaster does make a smaller width unit. All in all, very pleased with the shovel and highly recommend it.

It’s not exactly heavy, but it’s a lot heavier than I expected. This is a quality product and does exactly what you’d expect it to they way you’d want it to. Should last a very long time, too.
It’s also really great for cleanup after too much snow for a snowblower, cleans up the leftovers quickly & easily.
Chad Hunter (verified owner) –
I have not had much chance to use this since I got it, becuse it has only snowed less than 1 inch. I look forward to a further review once the snow starts again in a few months.

My husband bought this shovel and says it’s the best shovel he has ever had. He loves it. Just wanted anyone that is looking for shovels to know this is the best one out there and at the best price. He bought the biggest one they had 😀

I was tempted to return the shovel since the 3 holes on the scoop didn’t align with the handle bracket. It was very difficult to insert the 3 bolts and even now it is not aligned correctly. I’m concern this will not last too long. Tried it the first time and it worked well to clear out 1″ of heavy wet snow. Again, this is a pusher, so you cannot lift it, especially with heavy snow since it will just slide off the end. I may update this review if the product lasts more than a couple of years.

After a year of ownership, it warped and was really no good. Sad. I’m considering buying another but only if I can get it cheap.

I’ve beat on this shovel for 2+ seasons (New England), and it still looks pretty new (they used good plastic for the blade). It’s useless for more than 6″ of snow, unless it’s the super fluffy stuff. This is great for quickly dealing with nuisance snow, though. It’s more plow than shovel, so push it through the snow as quickly as possible for the best results. If you’re not spry, this might not work as you’d like (pushing it slowly will lead to it quickly becoming too heavy to push any farther).

Received the shovel/plow, when I went to assemble the plow part only had (2) of the needed three holes drill into it. I finished assembly and then drilled the hole myself to finish. I contacted the manufacturing company Snowcaster and before i finished assembling the shovel i was contacted. Within 12 hours i had spoke with someone and was compensated very graciously. I used the plow shovel the very next morning and absolutely love it and would recommend to anyone.

This shovel delivers as promised. When the snow is light and less than 3-4 inches it does a great job of tackling what a snowblower can’t. I have a very large driveway and a simple shovel doesn’t cut it and takes to long.
Randy Lang (verified owner) –
This shovel is perfect for sliding off those nuisance 1-5 inch snowfalls off of a large driveway. Clears off a large area in no time at all. For all those snowfalls too small for a blower, this is great for quick driveway clearing. Also clears wide sidewalks in a single swipe. Love this shovel.
MMH (verified owner) –
You may think it’s simple enough, however, there are 5 screws that come with it and written-only instructions on where it all goes. “Self-drill” screws for the lower part of handle (which direction does the handle go, who knows?), and a blue plastic piece that you have no idea where exactly it goes on this shovel. I’m waiting for the storm to use it (if we get the self-drill screws done correctly). I bought it because my neighbor has one and he loves it. He shovels his driveway twice as fast as me (same size) with, what looks to be, great ease. YouTube has nothing but a different handle version install instructions that is not helpful for this style. Come on Snowcaster, you can do better – simple photos will do the trick!

I live in Idaho
We get a lot of snow I have two huge decks this pusher is great for them it also clears the driveway in half the time as my other shovels. You can not shovel with this only push the snow in a pile then use your shovel to fling the snow over the side of the cliff. Even with the fact that it only pushes snow its still a big time saver. I store mine clamped to a 1×4 to keep it from warping.

Very solid, well made. We have a really wide driveway and this shovel moved 3” of snow off the entire thing in 5 mins. The shovel has some weight to it, but that works in your favor when the snow is deeper.
Tom K (verified owner) –
Does very well
In light to moderate weight snow. Last 6” on either side do lift up slightly but still allows for extremely effective and efficient snow removal. A great time saver.

Have a new black top driveway three car garage so to start my clean up push the snow with the new scraper and get out the snow blower. Great investment. Glad I bought it

Worth every cent. Saves hours. Basically like sweeping away the snow with a wide broom.
Doesn’t work well on deep or heavy snow.
Linda Schultz (verified owner) –
Expensive, but did driveway in no time with low snow amount! Will be worth going out several times during bigger storm and run up an down very large driveway! To big for walkway, but I can park a lot of cars in driveway so big help without getting snow blower out!

Love this wide shovel. Works best for light fluffy snowfall, not wet or heavy snow. Clears snow in a juffy. Shovel is a bit on the heavy side however.
DENISE I. (verified owner) –
It looked like a good idea. Unfortunately, it is not a good tool for heavy snow. The end of the shovel is weak and curls, which makes it difficult to lift heavy snow. Too difficult to maneuver. Ok for light fluffy snow only.
