Works great for fluffy snow. If you can lift it full of wet heavy snow, then you’re a better man then I.
I bought it for the lite snow falls that the snow blowers overkill for. So far it has really saved me some time.
I glued it together, there is two small screws that hold the handle on and with everything being plastic, I figured that’d be the first thing to rip out.
There is reinforcing sleeves on the inside of the shaft where the base and handle screw in.

For small accumulations of light, dry snow, this gets the job done much more quickly than anything I’ve used before — for that purpose, this is a welcome addition to my snow shovel collection. Wet snow of not much depth quickly becomes too difficult to push with so wide a blade, at least for this fit 64-year-old. — New information — it worked so well last year that I bought a second for this year. Can’t give higher praise than that.

I am glad I didn’t buy the 48 Pusher Shovel That was my first thought when I was using it the first time . IF you older person looking to buy a shovel
like this make sure you can handle this type of shovel this unit is a little heavy when pushing lite fluffy snow good, wet snow good to use a smaller
shovel to make headway then use it do the cleanup GORDON

For heavy snow in northern Ohio I have a large snow thrower. But for light snow, or for cleaning up after the snow thrower, for many years I’ve used a 19-inch Suncast brand “plastic” snow shovel with a steel edge and a pronounced curved profile. It’s kind of a small light combo shovel/pusher and seems like it should last forever. But using it seemed to involve a lot of walking around, back and forth and so on, because it’s small.
So I thought maybe I’d get a little bigger ergonomically styled shovel, but Consumer Reports didn’t seem to think much of that style. Then I saw these big 3 and 4-foot snow shovels. At first I thought they were ridiculous, but ordered one anyway after reading the favorable reviews.
Well believe me this Snowcaster model just puts the old shovel to shame. For me at 70 years of age I bought the 36-inch model, which I thought would be more easily wielded than the 48-inch. Because of its width it saves a great deal of time compared to the old faithful Suncast. Sometimes I’ll turn it to a 45-degree angle like a snowplow to avoid trailing snow coming off the side of the blade. You can just zip up and down your drive and be done in no time, provided the snow is light.
This product is well constructed and the hardware supplied for assembly is of good quality too. You will just need an 11-mm. wrench or two to put it together.
One caveat. Overzealous snow shoveling can be very hazardous to your health, and especially to your heart !!! Seriously !!! So avoid the temptation to use this kind of big pusher as a shovel, especially if the snow is wet. Instead use a smaller shovel or get out the snow thrower.

This has been great replacement for my old different brand shovel the lasted about 6 years. I predict this one will last 10. My only complaint is that the blade itself is somewhat warped. The outer corners flare up. It’s not terrible and the blade wear will eventually make up for the inconsistent cleaning I give the driveway and walk. That being said the thing is really wide and has cut down on my time outside. I am thinking of getting a smaller one as well. Would buy again.

Pushes a wide path of snow. I wish I’d purchased one a bit narrower as the icy snow accumulating around sidewalks makes it harder to push through with the shovel. Assembly was easy. Just remember, if you need to lift snow, this is not the right tool– this is for pushing snow and it does that well.

A must-have for snow environments. Great shovel. Works best on light fluffy snow. Able to push large qualities of snow with little effort. Not intended for lifting snow, only for pushing it out of the way. Heavy wet snow is much harder to deal with. But this large wide light weight shovel pushes a lot of snow and clears the drive really fast. I seldom need to roll out the old snowblower anymore unless the snow is wet and heavy. Just use this shovel and my drive is clear within 15 – 20 minutes easy. No sweat. Works fast removing snow because of the wide scoop. I recommend this shovel to EVERYONE.

So far so good have used it a couple of times now for the little snowfalls that we’ve had time will tell how long it will last!

As long as it’s just a dusting or a couple of inches of really light fluffy snow, this shovel works great. Don’t try to “shovel” snow with this shovel, it won’t work!
Also, if the snow is too deep, and heavy, it’s almost impossible to push the snow.
It’s also great for cleaning up after you’ve snow blowed.

My co-workers are jealous! When I showed up for work for snow removal. And pulled this 3ft snow shovel out. The shovels my company provides are junk so I bring my own. I covered more sidewalks, walkways and parking spaces much faster. Now my main boss is sold on how fast the shovel moves snow and thinking of purchasing some for next season. Very good product should last for many seasons.

Make yourself the plow vehicle and this the plow. Tip this thing a few degrees to one side and push that long sidewalk clear.
Steve (verified owner) –
Second one of these I’ve bought. First was the wider model. This one is just right.
Cleared an entire driveway of that fluffy stuff in under 10 minutes. Nice build quality.
Danno (verified owner) –
I love this pusher shovel. Nice and sturdy. The 36 inch width allows me to finish up so much faster. Seems to be holding up to New England weather.
Anita Espinosa (verified owner) –
I really like it! I use it for shoveling snow.
scott engebretson (verified owner) –
Show much easier to use than a regular shovel.
B34rsfan (verified owner) –
Covers large area
BillKell (verified owner) –
The blade was warped so there is about 1/2 inch of space under one side on a flat surface. It takes substantial downward pressure to pick up all snow on the warped side.
Jack (verified owner) –
I like the Snowcaster. It is a plastic snow plow. It is very light and easy to assemble and use. I really like it.
It is great for clearing light snow and the 36″ wide blade makes quick work of the job.
tc (verified owner) –
Shovel works great. I can clear the driveway in about 15 min.
Richard Parks (verified owner) –
Saves me the trouble of starting up the snowblower for 2-3 inches of snow. Clears the driveway quickly and easily.
Andrew Bosio (verified owner) –
This thing pushes snow like a boss and the plastic edge is sturdy and heavy but doesn’t catch on lips bad
Hjs (verified owner) –
Did not come with hardware needed for assembly.
Steve Heffelfinger (verified owner) –
Good for pushing light to medium weight snow. Shovel twists when pushing heavy loads. This shovel does not lift snow, easily, but does a great job at moving large swaths of snow from you drive-walkway.
Kelly Lynn Hegg Crosby (verified owner) –
We do like the length of the broom maybe a more organized mclee correct handle my husband is tall he likes it but it’s a little little clumsy he would also like to see if you could put a wider shovel on it or if you have any like it send us information please thank you
sam smith (verified owner) –
Works very well and very well built. I wouldn’t suggest trying anything larger as this gets difficult to push with more than 2” or 3” of snow. I was originally considering the 48” version and I’m glad I didn’t go that route now. Cleans very well on pavement.
Brian Baltzell (verified owner) –
I like how long it is. It makes is easy to shovel a lot of snow at once.
Tim (verified owner) –
As one would expect, if you wake up to heavy snow this is not the shovel you need. However, for a couple of inches, it works great.
Choopa (verified owner) –
Because you have to screw this shovel together yourself, the screw tightness won’t be a as strong as a shovel assembled by a machine. I have lost three screws so far after using this a few times. It’s a pretty big hassle. It’s also a lot more expensive than shovels in the store, and I’m not sure why. That said, it does shovel fine when it’s all screwed together well.
GLS (verified owner) –
The shovel is sturdy enough. However, it warped over the offseason. Now, when I used it, it leaves a thin layer of snow for about one quarter of the width of the shovel. I’ll have to try and reshape back to the original shape during the next offseason.
Gary Maziarz (verified owner) –
Great shovel especially for those more annoying snowfalls of 1-3 inches. The wide blade easily clears the drive and sidewalk with limited passes. The blade does a great job scrapping down to the concrete. Recommended
Cris (verified owner) –
A 36″ swath of snow removal is great when you have just a few inches of light fluffy snow. Not for wet or deep snow but that’s OK, we have other shovels for that.
Mike O (verified owner) –
So far so good. Does a great job on my 5ft sidewalk 2 passes and done. Easly pushes snow from one end to the other.
Eric J. Erickson (verified owner) –
I like the product so much that I accidentally ordered four (4). Note to online services: There is no way to successfully cancel an order. This is my only disappointment with the service. No worries…they have all gone to good service. Thank You!
TeddyR (verified owner) –
Does the job on light snow.
M. Maldonado (verified owner) –
I love how wide this is. It is as wide as the sidewalk. It it only good for pushing snow out of the way. You can not lift it with snow in the shovel. You have to go back with a regular shovel to lift and remove the snow. I’m still glad that I bought it.
Randy Marsh (verified owner) –
Please make this with your U style handle and my winters will be effortless. I teamed this with my other snowcaster products and i’m looking forward to big storms. Great job, and I will always purchase and recommend as long as they’re still made in the USA.
vuong van (verified owner) –
usually able to clear small amounts of snow really quickly. some noted warping but i have not had the issues . had for 2 yrs now. make sure to store it with long edge on the ground

Great for the light snow …beats getting out the snow blower
FWK (verified owner) –
This shovel covers a big area when it comes to pushing snow. The thing is, the snow slides right off of it, if you want to toss snow with it. It basically, takes two shovels, in my opinion to get the job done. It is a quality shovel.
Amazon Customer (verified owner) –
Cleared my 3 car driveway, sidewalks and side area in 35 minutes. Just pushes the snow to edge beautifully.
Best shovel I have ever owned. So durable probably the last one I will ever have to buy!

makes quick work of shoveling

While I haven’t had a need to use it, this shovel is exactly what I was looking for. My dad used to have a metal one but this material is extremely solid and durable.

This shovel is a step saver and time saver. Less time out in the cold is a huge bonus. Love this shovel.

Great Product! Amazing Customer Service. I live in Canada and spare parts were delivered to me after I lost them in the snow. Very satisfied.
